Influence of uneven particles of garnet sand for water cutting

Garnet sand as a kind of natural abrasive, always be used in waterjet cutting. But the particle size will greatly affect the efficiency and quality of cutting.

1. When large-particle water jet sand is used for cutting, the cutting surface is rough, the cutting gap is large, and the cutting precision is low, which is not suitable for high-precision cutting.

2. The water jet sand pipe is very thin. If the water jet sand with uneven particle size is used for cutting work, it will easily cause the plug of the water jet sand pipe, increase the cutting cost and affect the normal cutting work.

3. The use of water jet sand with uneven particles is unstable during the cutting process, the cutting variable is large, the sand flow is unstable, and it is easy to cause edge bursting and water splashing.
