Water jet cutting is divided into pure water cutting and water jet sand cutting. Both belong to water jet cutting. What is the difference between the two?

1. Different objects

There is no water jet sand pipe inside the pure water jet machine, which is mainly used for cutting softer and lighter materials. When pure water jet cutting, there is less material loss, which can save production costs. In addition, the speed generated by water jet cutting is particularly fast, so the cutting speed is increased, thereby improving the cutting efficiency. The abrasive water jet sand is generally used for cutting hard objects such as metal, ceramics, stone, composite materials, etc. Both have advantages in different fields.

2.The role of water is different

Although in practice, high-speed moving water flow is used to cut materials, in pure water cutting, water is the cutting tool. In abrasive water cutting, high-pressure water is used to accelerate abrasive particles, and in practice, abrasive water jet sand is used for cutting.
