SEPPE garnet is a high-performance filter media for water and wastewater treatment. Its unique physical and chemical properties make it ideal for removing suspended solids and contaminants.

Crystal structure – Multiple crystal planes enhance adsorption of impurities, improving filtration efficiency.

High specific gravity – At 4.0–4.2 g/cm³, garnet prevents media loss during overflow or backwashing, reducing bed expansion and maintaining filter bed stability.

Chemical stability – With acid resistance ≥98% (tested in HCl solution), garnet is suitable for aggressive wastewater including textile dyeing and chemical plant effluents.

High hardness & uniform size – Mohs hardness 7.5–8.0 makes garnet washable and highly resistant to abrasion during backflushing, extending service life.

Angular particle shape – Crushed garnet forms sharp, irregular edges that effectively trap suspended solids. When graded to 0.2–0.4 mm, it can filter particles down to 5–10 microns.

Safe for drinking water – SEPPE garnet contains no free silica or heavy metals. Its high purity and low chloride content support compliance with NSF/ANSI 61 standards for drinking water applications.

For reliable, durable, and cost-effective filtration, SEPPE garnet delivers.
