When purchasing garnet abrasive, many buyers first ask about price. Price is important, but it should not be the first question if the product has not been clearly defined.
For industrial abrasives, the same product name may refer to different grades, mesh sizes, packaging methods, quality requirements, and delivery terms. If these details are not confirmed, prices from different suppliers may not be comparable.
The first step is to define the product clearly. Buyers should confirm the application, required mesh size, quality requirements, and intended use before asking for a final price.
For waterjet cutting, common SGA River Garnet grades include 80 mesh and 120 mesh. For abrasive blasting, common grades include 20/40 and 30/60. If the buyer is not sure which grade is suitable, they should describe the application so the supplier can recommend a proper specification.
At the inquiry stage, buyers should mainly confirm whether the supplier can provide TDS, SDS/MSDS, and batch COA. These documents help buyers review product information, safety requirements, and batch-related quality results before placing an order.
After order confirmation and shipment arrangement, export documents such as the Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin can be prepared according to the agreed trade term and destination requirements.
A valid quotation also depends on order quantity, packaging, trade term, and delivery requirement.
Buyers should confirm trial order quantity, monthly usage, or project quantity. SEPPE can provide 25 kg PP woven bags, 25 kg paper bags, and 1 MT jumbo bags for bulk supply.
Trade terms such as FOB, CFR, and CIF should also be confirmed. If buyers are not sure which term to use, they should at least provide the destination port so the supplier can recommend a suitable quotation method.
For long-term purchasing, buyers should also ask about supply capacity, production schedule, repeat order support, and export experience. This helps avoid problems where a supplier can handle a small order but cannot support stable long-term demand.
Before placing an order, buyers should confirm payment terms, quotation validity, delivery time, third-party inspection requirements, and quality claim procedures.
Only after the product, standard, quantity, packaging, documents, and delivery terms are confirmed can the price become a meaningful number.
In simple terms, the correct purchasing logic is:
Define the product first. Confirm the standard second. Discuss the price last.
SEPPE can support garnet abrasive buyers with mesh size recommendations, export packaging, basic technical documents, and quotation support.
